In conjunction with the official launch of Komune Living and Wellness, a RM500,000 Komune Senior Care Fund has been set up by UOA Group to subsidise senior care services for eligible young working families in urgent need of support to care for aging parents, with the expertise of Komune Care, powered by senior living specialist, Care Concierge.
Komune Senior Care Fund will provide subsidies for a range of care services which include post-hospitalisation care for seniors through assisted living, and daycare for semi-independent seniors, as well as caregiver training for those experiencing unemployment and need a job to support their families by embarking on a new career as a caregiver.
Subsidy Programmes:
• For families with seniors facing sudden financial hardship due to unanticipated health issues
• Primarily for post-hospitalisation care (e.g. stroke, hip operation, etc.)
Malaysian 60+ years above
Post-hospitalization care (Short Term)
• For families with seniors who need care due to recent health issues.
Malaysian 60+ years above
Semi-independent seniors
• To provide free training for those experiencing unemployment and need a job to support their families by embarking on a new career as a caregiver.
Open to Malaysians between 18 to 45 years of age who have an interest in becoming a caregiver.
Process:
1. Apply for Post-Hospitalisation Programme for Seniors or Clubhouse Senior Daycare Programme or Caregiver Training Programme.
2. Applicants will be required to submit details of patient, including medical conditions etc.
3. Assessment will be made by Senior Care Fund Disbursement Committee and Komune Care Team (a face-to-face assessment may be required).
Note: Komune Senior Care Fund Disbursement Committee reserves the right to grant subsidies, extensions, and/or amend the terms and conditions of the subsidies at their sole discretion of which such decision shall be final.
